I love "Cry", too....she puts so much heart into her songs. I saw her on tv today and she was singing "Amazing Grace" with some survivors in Mississippi where she and Tim just took 3 semi trucks loaded with supplies to the Red Cross there...they asked her to sing it and she just stood there in a parking lot, holding a toddler in her arms and led a group, singing....all heart.

I love faith hill..but my favourite is "cry" I could really relate to that some time ago.....

You are so welcome, sweet man.....glad you liked them. It is wonderful...the simplicity, isn't it? And Faith's alto just wraps around the words like an old quilt that you're naked under with a wonderful lover....lush...that's what it is. Yeah, and those lyrics you shared were great, too....thanks. And you should definitely share some of yours...I like pablum! Hey, I'm listening to Julia Fordham's songs right now....I really like a lot of the lyrics she comes up with, too....and Feist was before her - good ones, too.

One of the best lines I've heard in awhile is from an old Train song my band does, "Meet Virginia."
"She never compromises, loves babies and surprises, wears high heels when she exercises, ain't it beautiful."

How these folks sum up so well is beyond me!

If you don't have her new cd, you need to get it...it's a really eclectic mix of things. My first listen....wasn't sure about it.....second listen, really liked it.....by the third, I loved it.....now, it's one of my absolute favorites.

You can listen to it on Amazon for one.....I just checked. Usually on cd.com, too...I didn't take the time to check there, though. It's not the same as hearing the whole thing because it's one of those "building" songs, and the last verse is a goose bump popper....well, it is for me anyway.

It is a really beautiful song...and having heard it first, I may not be able to just read it "cold" so the lyrics may not hit those here who just read it as being as wonderful as they are to me.
