Look, I'm a "believer", but I don't claim that only those who believe in

God can have good moral values.  And I've yet to meet a priest or pastor who believes that, either.  Sounds like you've had some bad experiences, but that's no reason to be on the offense.  There will always be a few who--for whatever fanatical reasons--believe that it's their way or hell.  Just as there will always be those who insinuate that "believers" are somehow less intelligent because they have faith in God or some higher power.

I'm with you Kooka--

Knowing right from wrong doesn't depend upon faith, but reason.  Without reason one cannot comprehend the effects of action or view the position of the "other."  Faith blinds us to the humanity of others not of the same mental default, so faith makes evil of the other.
