here are a couple of examples:
"Hij is met zijn gat in de boter gevallen" = he is extremely lucky
"Gatspie van de zjologie" = referring to the question "Who?" and you don't know the answer
"Hij weet van toeten en blazen" = he doesn't know anything

Mia - Your computer paintings inspired me to try it myself...
and I find I like it. I was hung up on texture before this, but after I saw your smooth surface paintings I began to feel I could get the results I wanted that way. And now some friends have invited me to show on Dec 10 so I have switched back to "real" painting, but now with the smooth, computer-like, Gauguin-like surfaces. It's so much easier than working with texture and I'm finding it fun. Thanks!
