C, if you ever were a firefighter you'd know it's not original.

I discovered years ago that quirky syntax and offbeat experience can simulate erudition.

i.e., if you won't astound them with your brilliance, bury them in bullshit; although inn my case it is loose association and flight of ideas.

Hem, I always get a warm
feeling now whenever I encounter Calder pieces in a museum. It was so good to know he had a sense of humor too.

Majroj, you are an original thinker!
I often have to stop a moment to figure out what you said.

I'm not a big art fan BUT
I bet you were totally in awe as you watched the placement of the Great Sail. I loved reading how you stuck around until dark admiring it.

Calder was one of my favorite people. His stuff inspired me to become a mobile artist, and I made quite a few interesting ones, though nothing as monumental as his. What a wonderful experience to meet him! Of course his fame cannot be compared to that of many Hollywood-style icons. He was a real and genuine person. Hemlocker

Very cool!

I often think being recognizeable and famous is like drinking from a fire hydrant...too much of what you wanted, and so fast you can't get what you need without getting injured.

Can I copyright that? (naw)

Cynthia,
that was something rather special! I must admit I did not know this person, but I looked him up on Google in the meantime. Never too late to learn, right? I'll be posting pieces about other chance encounters, and you're welcome to come and read them!
