Recommendations about procedures and medications are made within an assumed context of proper diet, exercise and healthful lifestyle measures. Unfortunately, as I mentioned in a previous blog, the performance of healthful lifestyle practices nationwide is quite poor. Very few people follow the entire regimen of healthful lifestyle measures typically recommended. Check my entry from April 27, 2005.

What about diet and exercise? Fiber, water, vegies, etc. Limit sugars, white flours, fat......Why don't doctors mention this very much?

My mom died of colon cancer that went into the liver. She took a lot
of aspirins for her knees. She needed knee replacement surgery, but never got to it. Thanks for the info!
