I'd love to do past life regression. I'm afraid my imagination would kick in, though, and that what I "remembered" wouldn't be accurate. About ten days ago, my son said something interesting to me, about having chosen me and his father. I wrote about it (with brevity

) and posted it yesterday. You might be interested...

Quirky...
I have never had a past life regression, but have always wanted to. Mainly for the reason of seeing if I am right...I have a strong sense about what/who I may have been once. Interesting stuff.

I believe that in a former life I was a boring peasant and, no matter how hard I slaved for an ungrateful king, I could only afford one pig and two chickens. I think I may have been a rooster in the life before that one, though, so apparently things improve with each life. You should see me now

but that assumes that you can apply statistical analysis to human existence etc....which I don't believe is possible... :-)

True enough. Certainly I do think there would be a purpose to our coming back, whether that is to learn, or something else...

Yes, I agree with you--it's not easy to accept any explanation as 100% truth. We simply can't know for sure.

so true--many people like to simplify "life," but I think in reality it's probably beyond human comprehension.

yes, whether or not what I experienced in my past-life regression is really true...or not...it was a unique experience for sure.

This is something I've been curious about and have read several accounts of people having such experiences with PLR's. I often wonder myself if I've been around before and if so, how I went about mucking it up. Interesting post.

Well...even if one didn't believe in past life regression, I think the experience would be interesting...you just never know what might come up.

There are 7 billion people on earth, so the chances of meeting one person that you had known in the past life, supposing you meet even1 million people in your life, is one in seven ... I think.

sorry!

Good Morning.. I don't think I've ever hated anyone at first sight.. But there have been a few times I've wanted to run away as soon as they open their mouth! Your not one of them..

Quirk,
Actually, I myself believe in what is most often described as reincarnation, but when people go into great detail about what it means and how it works, I lose interest in their speculations.

I am a firm believer in "other lives". When I study Astronomy and see that space is infinite, galaxies are infinite, the universe itself having no real beginning nor end, why would anyone think that their lives or spirits are around for such a very short time as our lifespan?

yup, I believe in reincarnation and have had the hate-at-first-sight thing too. I havent done guided regression, mainly because I dont need anyone else to take me there. There are places I've been in this life that I knew from 'before' and there have been a handfull of people that have been immediate connections (good and bad). I have shared memories with one particular person, down to knowing intimate things and specifics about each others lives that we could not have had prior knowledge of. I feel our lives echo those that we've had before, people and places, and the bits of ourselves that return 'remember' significant bits of previous experiences. I dont think we necesarrily come back to 'learn', but I think we come back with a purpose.
No one has given me a better explanation yet.

quirky,
There are too many things possible for me to accept one explanation with any feeling of certainty. I have never been able to believe what I wished to believe because it was comfortable to believe it--no matter how hard I tried. I'm sure your requirements for credence are not the same as mine, so exit at your chosen ramp.

Why does everyone care so much about being liked? If some people liked me I'd be seriously worried ;-). As for past lives, I recall studying regression analysis when I did economics and stats. Does that count?
You know I am not one for hooey. I'll flounce off and leave that to the dingbats.
