Authentic and Project Based. Thus I think your students are fortunate that they have teachers willing to make their learning experience viable and worthwhile. Kudos.

What creativity!
I love the idea of conjuring up an image of their first toy! And the list is great! Too bad there weren't more creative teachers....you guys sound great!
