letting go of the way we think things should work enables us to be free. it is very different from what we usually perceive, but it contains our liberation.

freedom from roles
"When we free others from the roles we have given them, we find that we have become free with them." I've got to think about that line. I'm sure there is a nugget in there.. but I can't express why.
Thanks for a though-provoking post!

isn't it an incredible awakening when that happens, and teh freedom is like walking out of chains into a place of being able to embrace oneself along with another. It really does happen, when you set someone free of what you had hoped and needed them to be, the freedom from assigned roles and hopes becoems yours too. ANd you are dancing in harmony in a space of light together.

i am merely stating that freedom lies in the mind, when we choose to set the things free that we depend upon for giving us the results we seek.

i used to smoke in my teens. it was the most addicting thing i've ever done. i got so disgusted with it that i was determined to stop. my prayers are with you, that you will find the inner drive to free yourself from it.

The power and freedom from within
Well said!
I'm gonna take that idea (and your comment on my post) to help me kick this filthy habit (smoking)!
