MayB, I'm working at it.

and I shouldn't be here either  except right now I'm too tired to do anything else. I figure I'll have the article ready for early next week.

MsVision, some of us writers may very well be adrenaline junkies...
to put ourselves through this frenetic activity when the sensible thing is to get started early.  The virtue in getting projects done early is that you have the necessary time to do all the editing in the world, without feeling pressured. Thanks for the encouragement. I'm getting there.

You have to set yourself a deadline and bash something out..... speaking of which I shouldn't be here

work, work, work!
this sounds just like me. I get this huge adrenalien rush i think when I'm under pressure and tehn it somehow all morphs together. But then I really need and extra week to get it all edited and perfect for the audience. The thing I find hardest is stepping away from it enough to self edit objectively. Keep working at it!

Muser,
You know, I haven't thought about applying that label to myself in a little while and yes, I do tend to procrastinate -  I goof off and then have to kill myself to do what I was putting off the first place.  Like the title you've given it!

Dreyma, yes I would much prefer to go about things
the way normal (whatever that is) people do.

No problem Meringue.

I'll do that as soon as I get the time.

Good morning, word.smith! My husband Max is a procrastinator from the word
"GO! He hates the label, and gets very offeneded when I use it in the same sentence with his name...so I now call him a master of time delay management!

We are suckers for punishment, aren't we? Sometimes stress can produce amazing work, but I agree with you- I would rather produce amazing work under normal circumstances!
