Anytime, LisaB. I have always been averse to corporate intrusion in our
lives. Hell, they're everywhere, in everything. It's all I can do to try to explain to my kids not to be walking billboards for Nike, Fila, Silvertab, and the Atlanta Falcons, among many others.

As a parent I wonder...
where are the parents of today's kiddos?
We are the ones that govern how much capitalism, commercialism and consumerism we allow in our household and family lifestyle. Even though my kids are not yet old enough to be subjected to these influences under the guise of public education, I'd bet good money that they know EXACTLY what I do if they ever came home with such products. I'd take it right back to the school and have it out with them. Better yet, the kids know WHY I'd do it, too.
Great blog. I enjoyed reading it very much today. Thanks!
