- Go to San Francisco City Council Dishonors Navy Veterans
Welcome, inkedforlife!
Glad to have you on board. Of course, everyone is entitled to an opinion. But by the same token respect for those who have earned it with their lives should also be expected of everyone. Having lived in northern California for 44 years, San Francisco's action did not surprise me in the least.
Scoop, right on. San Francisco, Oakland and Alameda were all major ports of embarkation during World War II. The Navy had a big shipyard in San Francisco, and it still has a strong presence in Alameda.

That is a slap to Navy vets
nice to see the other city take it in. My dad was in the Navy and said SF was a great port during WWII

Whats sad is
everyone is entitled to their opinion. The people of San Fran elected these officials and they are acting in the peoples favor. San Fran is known for being very liberal so what can you expect from the local government? Good little follow up post.
