Some buildings get to be like one big "Whack-a-Mole" game.
Maybe the answer is to shut it down and rewire it. If the alternative is to kill someone or lose the entire enterprise to fire, you know what the hard answer is.

Maj- yesterday my office manager
heard a crackling sound under her desk. That is not good says I. I run to get the on-site contractor, he says "that is not good" - crawls under her desk and rips a piece of wiring out that he says could have burned the building down - the one they just spent 6 million renovating.

Discomfort from art:is it still escapist?Do we "bleed to know we're alive?"
Let's see; would you rather see a movie about suffering in the Congo, militias eating pygmies etc., or a movie about the crumbling infrastructure of an aging eastern town conspiring with it's attendant bureaucracy to threaten and maybe crush a brave, sensitive independent filmaker and her co-tenants.
(ponder ponder ponder)

I could never get comfortable in those theater seats...
I hate being left disquieted by entertainment because I can get more than enough of that from real life to tide me over, thanks.
But now that you mention it, I'm trying to figure out what "my type" of movie is.

Majroj, I always like it
if my writing or art cause discomfort.

Original, that only works if
you know and respect the writers point of view. Thanks if you respect mine.

MsVision, thanks for reading.
I like his films too. I still like going to the movies better than TV.

MayB, when I told my
mother about the film, she said "Bill Murray! How can you like him, he's so ugly." My mother basis all her opinions of people on how they look.

I love Jim Jarmusch films. I connect with them in so many ways. He inspires my imagination. Thanks for the inspiring review. This is one movie I will make the effort to see at the cinema before it goes onto DVD. I love big screens.

This is a thoughtful review. I liked the other, also ambiguous movie with Bill Murray and Scarlett Johannson. Haven't seen this one yet, but hope to. Hemlocker

I've enjoyed what films of his I've seen so far and given it has Bill Murray in it I'll probably like it even more

? Oh, it's none of my business. Sorry Bill.
