No argument with most of that (especially finding time for exercise 
)
  But two things - rather than avoiding alcohol altogether, maybe limit yourself to only drinking when you've got something to celelbrate? I find that its only when I try using booze as a crutch that nastiness ensues.
  Secondly - MUSIC! I always find thats guaranteed to resolve any evil moods.
