wow
this made me think about my realationship with my boyfriend of one year i write about our time together on here. i can't help wanting to bring up the past with us and i'm always reading into things and wanting him to bring up his past and talk about the pains he feels, i always talk about my past problems and love telling everybody else what to do. reading your blog has just totally made me want to change they way i go about my life not that everything will change overnite, buts its got me thinking which is great: looking forward and not lookingback and just being in the moment and not looking ahead when i'm with my boy.x

it's true that the past means nothing, but a vain attempt to change oneself. thanks for the comment and have a great evening.

i'm surprised
it's like creating music. you like it, but it may not fare well. i am glad you enjoyed it, quirky. i was thinking about this in the early part of the day, when i had some quiet time.

Avant -
Well done! This is my favorite part - "The past is only useful to those who wish to save themselves by the world's methods."

A/G, a lovely post I'll be keeping in mind...
What you describe is, in my Universe, a shifting from seeing from the body/personality point-of-view to the spiritual. It would be most difficult to live in this world without considering how we got where we are Now, whereever that hapens to be at a given moment, and without memory, would we be able to learn? But realizing there is another point-of-view, another true way of looking and seeing, brings the spiritual component of a human being more into the daily functioning, and makes more room for things that are the best of both together, like altruism, for instance, and the personal experience of loving.

Avant--

A most spectacular post, this one. I read some passages twice, just to let it sink in. This paragragh is brilliant: The past is only useful to those who wish to save themselves by the world's methods. What appears as salvation is actually an exercise in losing control, by seeking to control what is uncontrollable.
