*grins* ooooh...those machines which tell you your height and weight and yells it out for the entire world to know...oh, and they also tell you if you're overweight or what too! Hate those things. Got pressured to get on one the other month because Mom just HAD to know what my weight was. *wilts* I'm on a diet too... Italian food...I don't know how one CAN diet in Italy, the food is so good!

Mama m Vocino (little voice?)
Reading your post, I felt like the two of us were sitting in a trattoria, drinking a wonderful red wine, and you were telling me this story. I could hear the Italian from behind your English description. At times it felt like two voices at once, which was a bit disconcerting. Italy must be a terrible place to try weight loss, what with all the sacred pasta dishes and other temptations like the dense breads I could not resist here. I would devour a loaf of French/Italian bread daily, slathered in butter or margarine. When I stopped eating that, plus all noodles, pasta, white sugar and flour and all processed stuff--well, mostly--I started to lose weight. But when I failed to exercise, I was also hungry as well as flabby. We might say it is a vicious circle, but I want to be optimistic. I really enjoyed this post. I envy you for your location. Good luck with your losing kilos. Hemlocker

I really enjoyed reading your post. I'm trying to lose weight as well. I think its gorgeous that you are having such good intentioned help. Exercise has made the biggest difference for me. Speeding up the metabolism by just the right amount is a fine art, so that you don't over exert yourself but get the right amount for your health and fitness but I am doing everything to sabotage myself from sticking to my routine, a run of viruses, potentially changing office decision pending so unable to rejoin my office gym, lost my backpack with runners and strap for heart rate monitor and wisdom teeth coming out next Wed - no exercise for a week. I will get back into it after that I will, I will . . .
