- Go to Isn't It Time Someone Around Here Mounted A New Challenge?
MayB - I am new to Blogit and blogging, seems like an odd way to pass time and I'm a little self-conscious.
I was drawn to your writing because of the substance
(inserting symbols, this is fun) and content. I didn't know what to post for my initial writing, and wanted to just do something, so I did what comes naturally - I asked questions and offered a "tip" on improving one's outlook on life, I suppose. Uh-Oh!
This would no doubt fall under the "self-help"
e-mails you receive on your not-so-personal e-mail address.
I'm open to "tips"
on writing/posting blogs, since you obviously have oodles of experience. Would like to read your comments!
Thanks!

Hey Gypsyredhead, I'm not sure the word "like" is right about my reaction to your life story. It doesn't seem to do it justice

It's nothing like my usual stuff! Give them hell MayB!

NCWriter, lucky you... it is through the comments where the teaching comes in of course. I think that sometimes they ony look at the grade;-). Then some become defensive but others take a lot from it and apply it next time around. The trouble with any writing of course is that there are several ways of approaching everything

You know, when it comes to fear or maybe disgust as well, even for challenges, particularly in the wonderful world of cutthrooat publishing, I've been there and still am. Blogit helps me to express myself more than I was, although still not to the point of trying to submit again. Would like to hear more about your experiences in the realm. I've been removed from it for many years.

MayB,
I recently had to "judge" a bunch of short stories for a contest. I too was hoping to find a few diamonds in the rough. I did...but it took a lot of digging. It was fun though....and I didn't have to comment on them.

Ann, some of the best cannot be beaten. It might be best for me to dig out some of the classics after I have waded through all the words

but of course - if you want to take your time and do that first -then ok....LOL

50-60 papers sound like a daunting task, but as with anything along those lines, I am sure you will find some entertainment from your students if the 'low grade' stuff doesn't get you firrst.

Whether or not you speak of Blogit, it's the truth and the prime reason I haven't posted in weeks. I'm not critical of any bloggers in particular or the medium in general, but I''ve grown tired of the games, monotony, the s.s.d.d. (same shit different day). Maybe this shall pass. The hope is the only thing that keeps me from hitting the button to cancel my subscription. I shall return again soon, possibly by the beginning of next month, but I'll only post fiction. This way, the make-believe world you read about is supposed to be.

Low-grade wallowing, now there is a change of pace
a lot like when I use to go bar hopping in the seedy part of town, I wanted to see how the other half lives............................and dies.
