Mia!

Hey, I’m digging this so far. The conversation is very natural and believable. That, to me, is super hard to do.

The present-tense writing takes a little bit to get used to, but I think I have. I would think narrating in a first-person, present-tense situation would be difficult to handle and somewhat unwieldy at times.

Oh and hey, my rule for writing cheesy romantic things for my girlfriends is this: never, ever use contractions. Never ever. "From the moment I met you, you have held me captive". Then again, using you and you right after each other. Maybe, "from the moment I met you, I have been your captive". Or, "from the moment I met you, I have been held captive by your beauty". You know, something along those lines. If you’re going for über romantic, go all the way ;)

Hi Mia!
Very interesting that you posted a middle chapter...very wise too I think!  Your writing is good and clear and has me wondering what has gone on before!  I'd read it!  You have me interested in knowing what the prior chapters were about.  Thinking of posting Chapter 1?    I feel like I've just flipped through a book at the bookstore to see if I like the writing..and...I DO!

Thanks!  Well it's good to know it's promising...haha, so far the response hasn't been good...that's why I don't post any of my real writing on Blog-it....I don't want to get discourgaged...and you know how honest bloggers can be...lol! It's enough to make me want to curl in a ball and scream, "I know you're a better writer than me dammit!" LMAO.....do you ever feel like that? and it's not even the comments that speak volumes, but the lack of comments..lol..

MiaElla,

Hmmm...it's promising, with some further development.  I like the back-and-forth between the two ladies, and the characterization of the softer side of the power blue tool kit.

I'd like to read the rest of the chapter.  Maybe get a bit more feel for the setting, and what led up to the receipt of the flowers.  It's good though, keep writing!

Nope, its not my thing
I get caught up in 19th century love stories. I love to see how romance was conducted in that era.

No, it's not the entire chapter.....lol...although I do have a tendency of writing short chapters...and by short I mean 2 to 4 pages... And it's not a retarded question because you were just checking to see if I was writing impaired....lol

Apparently. Since, I just did.
Personally, I'd have to see more, before knowing for sure whether I'd buy the whole thing.

I know this is a retard question, but ... that's, obviously, not the entire 14th chapter, right?

That's good!
LOL, I'm in the middle of a book where a "rosie" gets killed by a vampire who snatches her heart and squeezes it like pudding in front of her eyes....
