You sound really excited!

Yes I work as an Art Therapist in an Aged Care Centre (mainly painting)  that is multi-cultural and many of the residents don't speak English.

We still work together quite well.

I have read your other post.

I will be reading your progress with interest,

Jo

drawing is communicating without boundaries: Priceless!

brisbane, I equate learning and survival. Both equally as good.
And Hey!  I'm so glad to hear you say that about drawing.  We love drawing!  Can I use this line -- everyone has a pre-verbal stage in communicating?  Did I get that right?

I see we can't edit if we make mistakes,

Survival Skill

"when you reverse the traditional teaching process, begin with writing, move to reading in every way imaginable, then on to speaking -- you may be doing something right.  Namely, not wasting precious years when the learning acquisition device is wide open, memorizing speeches about your family.  Learning to read is a learning skill people.  Learning to write is a survival skill."

I use drawing before the rest of it all together.  This is because they say that there is a preverbal state where people communicate without boundaries.

I guess we all do what we have to do to survive in the teaching game.

Why do you make the disctinction abovr.

learning to read is a learning skill.

Learning to write is a survival skill.

In what way do you mean that?
