- Go to Why such acidity and seemingly unkind words towards Christians?
You ask why such acidity and bitterness
toward Christians. I ask, why not?

elysiafields -- a little unfair as your sampling is but minor.
every once in awhile I pull out a big wooden club to whack the bible thumpers with. Used especially at times when they become as thick as houseflies. I will never make an apology for giving some of their own less than admirable behaviour back to keep them at bay.

From Saul to Paul
To everyone else you will be known as gomedome.
But I christen thee 'Bitter Critic'
A little too bitter for my taste.
I'm gathering up my toys and going back to my pity party...

elysiafields -- good - I am glad we agree on at least something
Both are too far below my dignity threshold.

elysiafields -- that was pretty good but
you will find the acidity is short lived. I have an imaginary boiling point, a threshold that does not need any barriers because I instinctively know where the precipyce is. It comes in handy to be able to step out of character and show one's would be foils that they are but amateurs. The only cards I have yet to learn how to play are the "Pity" and "Persecution" cards.

Oh gomedome
You make many cogent arguments for your point of view.
But you make them in a confrontational, hostile way, which invites the scorn of the people you are openly scorning.
Now, y' know I love ya..but there's a little thing about the pot calling the kettle...
You have to decide what you're really in this blog for.
Is it for the fight, or to validate your beliefs through inspiration tempered by cool-headedness.
With regards to your stand on Jesus, a well known saying comes to mind.
"Me think thou dost protest too much."

Hemlocker -- now get prepared to really laugh - that last one is still on
this server and it is accredited to a person calling themselves a Pastor. I know that it is hard to believe but I swear it is the truth. Kooka will vouch for me on this one because I am sure he remembers.

I don't think I believe that last one. Well how about a nice one: "I truly hope that one day you will have a relationship with God."
