About the book called Abuela's Weave
Esperanza's abuela, her grandmother, is unmatched in her weaving skills. She shares the gift of traditional Mayan tapestry with her granddaughter. Together they decide to sell their wares in the market, but Abuela's birthmark may frighten away customers. Esperanza must sell their works alone

I loved your poem. Very good.
I'm not nit-picking here, but as far as I'm aware, no Mayan tapestries exist, So was you reference to one allegorical? It could be a Mayan stele or temple, couldn't it? Most people would be aware of those grotesque faces, wouldn't they?
Pleae take this in the spirit in which it is intended
