Wow, you've really been reading my posts today.
It is and that there are still people out there who make such judgment calls. I find it very disturbing that it is the police themselves who are doing such.
I hope you can get your life back together and stay away from those destructive people. It really bothers me that there are still so many guys out there who are so low and disturbed that the bet women. There really is no excuse ever for such behavior.
So where can one find these pictures of you?

I agree
I just came out of an abusive situation in which I nearly lost my life or could have had my face scarred for life/neck broken.
the guy I was with had a history of abuse and the police didn't help me b/c I had nude photos and liked to live an unorthodox life.

what did i say when we talked about this?
the "good old days" when sexuality was suppressed produced more sexual deviancy.
many of those deviants of all stripes that we have today i wouild put forth came from a sexually suppressed household.
many also came from an abusive household
but both instances come from lack of real education and guidance
freer talk about sex will produce more mature individuals and fewer sexual deviance.

I agree. I did not get into that part of it in my post because such ideas were not what the post was about.
There is a level of being polite that does some times get forgotten by people, from both sides though. I have been in situations where it really made no sense to be dressed up and people went and tried to force the idea of being dressed up for it. And there was a boss I had who is the only guy I know of who makes other guys say 'Excuse me' when they belch if it is just a room full of guys hanging out and that never felt right at all to me.

Kooka, I think the good old days goes beyond talking about sex. While I
agree with many parts of your argument what you failed to point out is that as people grow more lax with conversation, behavior, and dress codes our society is losing (or shifting) its sense of decorum. We don't have to be stuffy but knowing when to wear appropriate attire and when to breach certain topics shows that we are enlightened enough to respect others.

You make many good points. Every time someone advances principles which sound too "liberal", twodog is there to tell you what an asshole you are. Hemlocker

"You want a society where it is absolutely okay to do anything you want, without consequence."
When did I ever promote anarchy here?
Not surprising that you were unable to understand this post at all. I talk about being open with sex and sexuality, things that are not going to go away and when looked at openly and with people being more honest about them you solve the problems. The spread of any kind of STD actually gets worse when sexuality is taboo. When we are open about it and admit sex happens and are not treating people bad for buying birth control and be responsible, then they will be more responsible. I am not saying go out and just screw like mad, whoever you want whenever you want without being responsible.
You really live in denial as it is I guess. Does sex scare you? So you want to go back to the days where no on talked about sex so that uncle Joe could go around and molest all the kids and no one said anything because to say anything would be admitting sex happens and having to deal with reality. So instead the kids all are scared for life and will never seek help because they know you do not talk about sex and so will hold it in and put on a happy face pretending it is all good, until they have a family of their own and screw that up because of the repressed emotions linked to it all.
It is amazing that because you are so scared of sex that you are willing to take us back to the darker times when our society was in denial about things and was unable to face reality.

Ah yes, sex, drugs, and rock and roll. And the results of irresponsible sex, AIDS. The results of drugs, a raging meth epidemic. The results of rock and roll, todays imitation of music, mindless, amaturish, crap.
You're right about one thing, humans havent changed since we first set foot on this planit. The only thing humans have improved on is, the way we entertain ourselves, and a much more effecient way to kill each other.
You want a society where it is absolutly okay to do anything you want, without consiquence. There have been societies like that in the past, or course they are dead societies now. After their moral base crumbled it was only a matter of time before the society followed suit. Read a little history, it's all there.

kooka...Our 'full potential as a people' depends on a growing ability to understand and to get along with each other, not catch-words such as 'in denial' when one does not 'let it all hang out'. The latter phrase refers to an ageless sense of decency and privacy. This always will be in style. While all humans endure problems, most have a desire to deal with them in their own way.
