I agree, sunjae. But I don't believe it is as much the fact of such
terrible things happening as the fact that we are constantly bombarded with that information, making the reality a distorted psychological horror story more than a reflection of established actuality. Remember, we are not only the products of the information age, but the age of excess, hyperbole, and misdirection.

backk in the old days.. you would probably have dozens people stopping by even if there are already help available. nowadays, i think people are just to scared of unexpected things that might happen.. too many incidents where people are actually tricked, robbed, raped, killed just for trying to help. Bless the young man that stopped.. :)

I know you're right
and I know I usually don't measure up. (heavy sigh) I did help a lady jump start her car last night. But.. stopping on the roadside... shame on me. Its been a year and a half I guess.
