So, two wildly differing views on...
how the answers should be listed. I guess I'll have to give it some careful consideration.

Fortunately, mosquitos here...
do not carry Malaria ... which, of course, is the deadliest plague of the third world.

Also, I should have explained the chipmunk part further ... rodents very, very rarely carry rabies. (And, yes, that includes rats.) The primary carriers in the U.S. are (in order) bats, racoons, skunks, foxes and stray dogs.

A suggestion
post the questions in one days post and the answers in the next days.

I can never remember the questions by the time
I get to the answers. It's not  your fault, my brain is full.  I can't think too hard.  Mosquitos- that little tiny whining drives me crazy at night. Take care

Good Format. Nice Change of Pace.

Out of all these, the most common threat that affects ordinary people like us is the mosquito. Especially in the summer months.

My knowledge may be "vast", Layla ...
but, it's also unbelievably "shallow". I essentially know a little bit about everything, and a great deal about nothing.

I try to create the illusion of simplicity.

Madame
Just goes to show you that once you think the answer is obvious..........you're wrong (or at least I was)

I have...
but, in another blog (and, for a slightly different reason). It's really not that interesting a story, though.

silly me--I could do that--
Or...you could just obey me! lol... as you wish! carry on. Hey, have you ever divulged the secret behind your blogit name?? I'd like to feature you in my blog, the poop on blogger nicknames, if you are willing--email me your "story" if you wish! If not...no soup for you!

You right click on a link...
and then go to "open in new window". Just that simple!

posted by Mademoiselle on August 8, 2005 at 10:21 AM | link to this | reply

Then I retract--No, you can't say NO!! You must always obey me or...or...or else!

Okay...how do I open comments in another window, exactly??

posted by Julia. on August 8, 2005 at 9:59 AM | link to this | reply

I'll consider it, Quirky.
Thanks for giving me your permission to say "no", though. I really appreciate that!

(Only joking!)

BTW, technically, you could just "open the comments link in another window".

posted by Julia. on August 8, 2005 at 9:40 AM | link to this | reply

Thank you very much, jasonkelliott!
I am toying with the notion of having "The Death Quiz" be a regular part of the rotation (alongside "By The Numbers" and a new concept I just thought of), so, we'll see ...

When will there be more questions?

Great quiz...I remember learning about Japanese Blow fish on Iron Chef

posted by jasonkelliott on August 8, 2005 at 9:06 AM | link to this | reply

Most people choose "Fugu" ...
(especially those who dine at Japanese restaurants alot). When prepared properly, the fish is a wonderful delicacy. When prepared improperly, however ... the fish is fatal to humans.
