So did you find someone to go with?
I saw this some years ago while in Germany and none of my companions was game enough to go with me.  I am not sure I enjoyed it but it was interesting.

Sooooo, I guess posting my pic...
has already begun paying dividends (in terms of my popularity here).

What a date. You could pop off cheesy lines like "ah, how romantic, he died of heartbreak". Yea, I'd love to go with you gorgeous... but you'd have to cough up a transatlantic plane ticket

Madame, lol.
You do have a certain way with words. = )

Thank you so much for the link!
The expression on my mother's face when she saw the fat guy with the splattered head, was totally worth all the time I've subsequently spent vomiting.

Dunno when I'm gonna eat again...
I've just been to visit after a very long time. Yuck!

Oh, don't worry, word.smith ... I'll make a note of it.
Definitely don't want to miss that.

Okay
Madame, that site I was trying to remember was www.rotten.com Make sure you look for the pic of the weightlifter with the busted butt.

Nope. Never heard of her.
(I pretty much just exist on the fringes of BlogIT.)

And, yes, I do so enjoy annoying others. Perhaps, that's why I'm such a beloved figure within my family.

Madame P.O.
Well, I didn't have any doubt you knew who Thantos was....but when you do that deadpan answering a question with a question....drives me crazy.... but, of course, that's why you do it, isn't it! You enjoy driving me crazy....don't you!!! You fiend!! And, I was going to volunteer to go see the dead bodies with you...they don't bother me a bit...I've seen lots of dead bodies...since I was very little....aaimie might go, too...do you ever read her...she owns some funeral parlors...might check in with her....

I was joking, too!
Of course, I know who Thanatos is ... greek god of Death ... son of Nix (Night) ... brother of Hypnos (Sleep) ... blah, blah, blah.

I just wasn't sure if there was a Thanatos here, also, or something. (As in, a member of BlogIt!)

Madame P.O.
Yes! I knew you would do that! I meant...you take everything very literally, of course.  See, I'm teasing you, playing with you.  I love your name, love your blog, think it is so much fun, play with you...and you come back so serious with me! But, you don't see what elysiafields meant by the question...really?

posted by Krisles on August 8, 2005 at 7:21 AM | link to this | reply

Am I a "very literal" person?!
Well, that's a rather odd question!

Madame P.O.
You remind me soooo  much of my mother.  I mean, when someone asks you a question like that.  Are you a very literal person? For instance, the question from ElysiaFields is fairly obvious given this blog, and you are so, so very smart....but you seem to think it an odd question. I am just curious because I've noticed it before and you do so remind me of my mom in this regard.  She's a genius, and she does this.

Not quite, word.smith ...
"Body Worlds" was created by a german scientist, Gunther Von Hagans.

Actually, mmm-w, my mother IS interested.
Just not, sadly, in going with me. Same with my boyfriend, best friend, brother, cousins, aunt, uncle, niece, etc.

P.S. I'm fairly certain the people themselves have to sign off on becoming part of the exhibition, before they die.

elysiafields,
Thanatos?

I've seen many pics from bodyworld. It is quite a tedious procedure to drain, pump plastic and process the exhibits.

Now that would be really interesting.

The closest I've come is a documentary on tv, with displays from a French museum, if I'm not mistaken.

BTW, Disgusting does not begin to describe the sponsor of the ogrish site.

oh my... i have never heard of this... and i don't think i would be going. how does one go about that anyhow. leaving their "remains" to one day stand in an art exibit? or do relatives donate their familes in support of such an endevor? fascinating stuff, i am sure you will find someone to go. (your mom isn't interested, huh?)

dead bodies as art

Yes, I saw this on TV...

Not for the faint of heart - are you having a love affair with Thanatos?
