Getting it all out will be a major accomplishment....I had no idea that's what I was going to do, but it is starting to happen....best of luck...I'll look forward to reading.

I hear you on the kids! I don't know if you've caught it, but my daughter is expecting her third 9/26...I can't even imagine having had just the one! And, I agree...cinammon and sugar makes anything better!

You really must make the Monster one! And, did your mom make you the pie crust cookies with the left over dough from trimming? Now that I think about it...I'm surprised none of the ladies have brought you cobbler...hmm,or do I remember vaguely reading about one...

I make it w biscuit dough, but only because (with 3 kids) it's
quicker and easier. I agree that pie crust is better. However, sprinkle some sugar and cinnamon over biscuit dough, and it gets pretty damn good!

That's how my mom makes
cobbler, too. I'll go out to restaurants and they'll have big blobs of dough as you described, and they just don't stand up to the neat little strips weaved atop the pie.

I'd like my Peach Cobbler with homemade Vanilla Ice Cream on top.
I think it's good with either kind of dough...but really...who can indulge in something so decadent? Wouldn't there have to be about a million calories?

Mmmmm, Krisles...Anything w/ pie dough, count me in....
I don't even like cake. I prefer pastry like pies and cobblers. That sound so delish. Nicely expressed as usual.

Funny! And my husband doesn't like cobbler like I make it, and I don't like it like he does...he goes to his mother's to have hers (I rarely cook in KC anyway). Wonder what a marriage counselor could tell from the cobblers!!
