- Go to Max, My Friend's Cat
That's really sad, poor Max. I'd be too scared to let my cat outside if I had one, because so many things can happen. Heck, I don't even let my
dogs outside in the back yard alone. What a horrible thing for a little girl to see. But as a big dog person, you know I have to defend the canines! It's all the owners fault, if they had owners that is,not the dogs'. Unless they got out by accident. Montana got out twice about 5 years ago, and they're indoor dogs. (Front doors sometimes blow open!) Some dogs have a huge prey drive that you can't just train out of them. Both of mine are like that. They would never hurt a person (maybe not even if I were being threatened) but I can't have them around cats. They've killed birds and rats before. Eek. It's just like cats' penchant for killing mice or birds and bringing them to their owners. Which some owners think is
so cute. There, I've defended the canine. But I am sad about Max. Especially since he was old. The senior or geriatric animal tugs at my heart.
