MayB,
Excellent. Keep your focus and it will come. By the way, I have several freelance writer friends that have taken part time, regular gigs. They say it makes all the difference in the world. Even if it's not EXACTLY what they want to do, it gives them a sense of security so they can feel free to really pursue their other writing. Keep us all posted. I really, really enjoy reading you.

MayB,
you have a lot of irons (and potential irons) in the fire...so the right thing is bound to open up soon. But is there such a beast as the "perfect5" job?

CarolynMoe, every day the mailbox contains no fat envelopes, I let out a little cheer. It means I get to hope for another day

Yes, may those fat ones stay away...

Good luck with all that!
Seems you've got your head on straight and that you're focused...this is where a lot of writers struggle and why they lack security. I have no doubts about your ability to succeed...just keep us posted!

John Mcnab, the stress is there but I am managing better now. I know trying to feed a family from writing is a mug's game. I am the biggest mug

Renigade3, let's not dwell on me being further along. It took so long to get here and I don't want to depress anyone

Good luck. I know you'll do just fine. You're already much
further along than the rest of us!

MayB

You can now breathe again, MayB?   I was feeling the stress for you in your earlier posts.  Thank goodness I do not rely on writing to eat.
