But, thank you for the compliment.

Oh, it's cool, Quirkyalone.
I'm extremely difficult to offend, anyway.

This is a bizarre blog--but it is definitely in keeping with what I'd expect from you--(and just to be clear, that is a compliment!!)

Oh, I have plenty of material, Joe.
Don't worry.

The Death Blog is Odd
But, then again. ., so is Madame P.O.

Love your humor, PO, and the format of this blog. Hope you are able to sustain it for awhile. The flying horseshoes deaths was extremely intriguing. LOL

Thank you, allicat275 ...
I certainly find it so.

Amen to that, Military Wife!

Yesterday, Madame P.O. wrote:
The individual stories can be culled easily from a variety of sources. Not hard to find, at all.

The "Death By The Numbers" part, however, is much more difficult to put together. It really requires access to the national death registry. Which, though technically "public archives", is not easy to attain.

What a morbid Blog!
but damn, so interesting!

Imagine how the parents of a football player who died in the
shower after a game felt.

Gruesome facts. Some of these stories may be on the internet. I vaguely recall reading similar types of stories on unusual deaths.

It's cool, MiaElla.
I wasn't, like, accusing you of liking the movie!

Never seen "Dead Like Me". Unfortunately, because I keep very odd hours, I see very little primetime TV (besides "Arrested Development").

I watch the History channel and cartoons, mostly.

Madame

I didn't really like Final Destination...although I did like the concept....

I'll have to check that out.

Right now I'm really into the Dead Like Me series...perhaps because Georgia is very cynical and bitter, and witty and dead...

Well, SincerityAnna ...
that is the plan.

Thanks for (continually) stopping by!

I know, Layla,
but, at least, he won. Plus, in a bizarre way, assured himself of a lasting legacy.

Besides, most jockeys are jerks, anyway. You never see them with appropriately-sized women. They're always, like, with some amazon. They look so ridiculous!

Madame,
Geez...so many ways to die...this is a very interesting blog you have going here...morbid curiosity keeps me coming back again and again...lol...

Practically anything with Truman Capote in it...
is automatically hilarious, Strat. But, "Murder By Death" is my favorite. I'm hoping to convince others to watch it with me.

I hated that movie, however, mia ella.
Although, compared to the sequel, it was positively Hitchcockian.

On the subject of movies ... if like me, you're up at all hours chained to your laptop, plus have no life because your boyfriend is a closeted homosexual and all your "friends" are mean-spirited witches ... you might want to check out "Murder By Death" (1:15 AM on TCM). It has a tremendous cast and is alot of fun.

Madame
Those statistics remind me of Final Destination the movie...guess when it's your time it's your time, you can't cheat the reaper.

Freak accidents are the best!
One time, my father got a coffee bean stuck in his ear! He didn't die, though.

Those are some far out statistics
Freak accidents are responsible fo many deaths, sports related and not.
