First off if interest rates are down, that alone says the economy is NOT doing good. The reason interest rates go down is because they have to in order to keep us from another depression. The interest rates will go up noticeably when the economy gets healthier.

As for your home buying thing, that is the rich buying up houses in order to rent them out. The wealthy went and took advantage of the low interest rates. Just become more homes are owned by people is meaningless. The same people who did not own a house a few years ago, do not own one now. Due toe the reality, which you seem to be very much blind to, of price of living going ever higher at a much faster rate than people’s pay no one is able to save up enough money to buy a house.

Here in Colorado we had less than 3% unemployment rate eight years ago. Right now we are at nearly 6%. So the unemployment rate out here has doubled since Bush took over and you seem to think that is a good thing? If you look through the numbers over the last few years things have not really been changing. The average for the country is not going down. Sure it has leveled out, but it was much better eight years ago. You see the idea is to get it to go DOWN, not to stay where it has been, especially after the big drop it took just a few years ago. Your best claim here is that things are not getting worse.

As for the pay thing, what planet are you living on? No one I know is getting anything close to reasonable raises that are keeping up with the increase of living costs. And yet these companies will brag about how profitable things are right now. Of course this year thanks to the tax cuts and them raising prices with out raising the pay of their employees, they have made a lot of profit. Even people in solid jobs who have degrees and experience are going through this same thing. Get out and talk to the real people and you will see this to be true. Five years ago the average cost for family to survive with the bare minimum (We are talking the cheapest apartments and so on) was around $16.00 an hour. Luckily my wife and I both are working because we wish to not have just the bare minimum, but instead wish to provide a house for our kids and something better than just the cheapest of everything that is out there. Between the two of us we make more than $16.00 an hour. I am unsure what that cost of living is right now, but I would place it around $18 to $20. Well, neither one of us has gotten reasonable raise that could keep up with such an increase. At this rate we will be making less than the minimum amount between the two of us in the next five years. If our pays go up at the rate they have been and the cost of living goes up at the rate it has been, we will be hurting. As it is we have to watch ourselves a lot more than we did just a few years ago. The simple fact that any working class family is seeing right now is that things are getting worse.

So get out and see the real world for once and stop listening to the BS that Bush, Rush and the other Conservative morons are feeding you. If you could only think for yourself you might be bale to see just how bad things are getting.

I really have no idea where you are getting the information to base you posts on. The inflation rate is negligable, interest rates are still at a historical low, the gross national product has exceeded expectations, home ownership is growing, wages are, in fact, increasing, and I suspect folks along the border, especially the American Aboriginies in New Mexico, and especially Arizona might have a different take on uncontroled illigal immigration. Oh, and by the way, the unimployment rate is hovering at five percent.
