Krisles, your mythology is just slightly off...
Persephone is the daughter of Demeter (Goddess of the Harvest), no relation to Zeus. However, Persephone
was kidnapped by his brother, Hades. Some "hostage negotiations" followed and ... long story short, she spends half the year as Queen of the Underworld (Fall & Winter) and the other half living with her mother (Spring & Summer).
As far as shortening the name is concerned ... how about "Persie"? Or "Seph"? Or, even, "Phone"?

I love Persephone, too - but wasn't she the daughter of Zeus and kidnapped ...sad story as I recall...need to research that - and would you shorten it to something for everyday? What? And Noelle is beautiful. I'll definitely pass those along....Thanks!

Thanks! Isabella is what son-in-law wanted on the last one and would do on this one...Jaden won on the last won; and Michele would go with Isabella on this if he would let her be called Bella - he won't!.....sigh. We've never had family problems and this name thing is just so silly...but names are important..Thanks for the suggestions, all beautiful I think.

Krisles...terrific post.....
If I had a daughter, I would name her Olivia, like you have mentioned in the post. Or Isabella. Those are my two favorites. I also love Sophia or Anabella. Good luck with your daughter and her in-laws. Yikes!
