Here is a comment that counts for you. Afzal50 is doing nothing wrong. He was doing nothing wrong the first time someone complained way back when and caused him to leave Blogit for a time. The answer to your very first sentence in this post has to do with attitude. Attitude is all important for success in anything.

Im sorry you feel like that. I remember my psychology tutor saying that compliments often make people more awkward than criticism and i guess its the same for offering praise. A good opinion is balanced, finding both the faults and the positive. If people set out just to knock thats wrong and i would urge you to take no notice of it.

Every opinion counts....
Sorry you feel that way....but my belief is that every opinion counts. There is always going to be constructive criticism. There is always going to be people who thinkk they are the queens and kings of the writing world and heck, life in general. They can think that all they want. Everyone is entitled to express their thoughts about whatever...that is one of the things that makes this country so great.
Everyone fails at something...if we didn't, we wouldn't become better, stronger people. You may THINK you're failing at everything....but you're not. The fact that you can come on here and write about yourself, talk about yourself says something.

I think many people feel uncomfortable...
offering praise ... unless it's
fake. Although, actually, it seems like the people here are much more prone to encourage others than, say, at school where the environment is so highly competitive.
Oh, and, "constructive criticism" is a lot art ... because you have to be smart to give it.
Who cares what anyone else thinks, anyway?
