Don't worry about it

I was thinking it would be more like the sound of a cantaloupe being dropped off the back of a farm truck onto a concrete chicken house floor.

I liked your post about the cracking head. I know exactly the feeling you describe from when you heard the sound. I've had a similar experience with the sound of a bone breaking.

well I just yesterday posted about being "misread"--it's a common occurence in these types of communications...we think we are being perfectly clear with our meaning, but people hear all sorts of different things. Glad you got it straightened out.

I guess it's different strokes.....as they say.  There are a kazillion channels on satellite, all those magazine on the racks in B&N, all the art films, all the web sites....you've been here longer than I have to know what there is an audience for..I mean the title said it all.  I get more uptight with some of the conversations I happen across in comments sections, personally....it's all in the wonderful mishmash that makes us the complex and endearingly unpredictable, never boring human race is the way I look at it.  I wrote a comment tonight in someone's post that was completely misunderstood, tried to straighten it out and just slid deeper in doodoo..finally got it straight via email..it was like we were driving on different decks of a parking garage trying to park next to each other! But, I think it would be a boring world if we were all alike.

I have a compulsion to share experiences, too...good ones and bad ones.  I want to describe in great detail the feel, sound, taste, texture....maybe that's the latent writer that has always been there.  That's probably all you are doing, too.  Personally, I've always watched all the medical stuff on tv, love to watch surgeries and stuff..I read your post and it didn't bother me at all!
