Kooka Lives

you once stated that you could identify with homosexuals because they are faced with " coming out" and dealing with an intolerant, bigoted, attacking society. In the same way you as an atheist passed through a similiar experience.

Well, in the same way I ironically identify with you( they way you ID with homosexuals even though you are a heterosexual that does not understand homosexualality) because I powerfully believe in what I believe and nothing can deter me. I never back down and I fear no person. In fact, the more people attack the harder I fight. Much like you. Execpt you and I are 180 degrees opposite in beliefs.

What we both have to learn is how to deal with people who oppose and attack. We must learn never to stoop to their methods because it weakens the strength of the message, you see. The message is the most important thing. Because it outlives us.

Energy spent debating might be used better.....

if spent working with like minded people. Have you read Deepak Chopra's new book about Peace? It's very much worth it....and it explains beautifully how we can change the future. I am realizing that I waste my energy if I "debate" or "argue" with people about anything. People are welcome to their opinion, even the ones that you or I might think are unfounded and ridiculous. Most often, as you stated, these people are wanting to fight for the sake of fighting...and want to be mean for the sake of being mean. I truly believe that if those of us who see the truth for what it is join together to change the paradigm, it can happen....and it won't include insults. Will it change completely in our lifetime? Probably not...but there's always hope...and it's still worth working towards even if we never see it in full color.

I agree with you that the conservative views are often based on fluff and insults. This is why it is so difficult for those who really want to find peace and justice in the world to have their say...because we won't stoop to that level...and we don't need to. There is power in numbers...and from what I saw in the last presidential election, the numbers are starting to speak for a more tolerant and liberal view...despite the current president. The media spoke so loudly about the current president being the one that had the most votes ever...but I think what we need to look at is that the man he ran against (and not even saying that I had great hopes for either one)...had the most votes ever. Bottom line is, people are starting to think..and act. Those of us who join together and think and act peacefully and respectfully and simply refuse to give in to the fluff and insults, and better spend our energy where it is welcomed...we will prevail in the end....and the world WILL change. Ghandi has a quote about this...that there is no way to peace (meaning you can't fight for it)....peace IS the way....and it's the only way it will happen.

My hand buried in the sand? Have no idea what that means. I am going to guess you meant head though. I can promise you my head is not in the sand. I am not the one who is not seeing Bush for who and what he clearly is.

I pay no attention to the lies spread by the conservatives or anything spread by the liberals. You see, I think fully for myself. I look at the facts. I look at logic and at reasoning. I see what is going on and figure it out. Unlike you I do not need someone telling me how to think. Ever single conservative is almost like broken record repeating the same load of BS and lies as if there was something to it. Bush is about the worst president ever and is a great hero of the terrorists. That is obvious beyond obvious.

Seriously, name one, just one thing he has done that has helped this country.

Yeah the facts stand on their own.
Bush has done more to help terrorists than he has to help his own country. He backed down from going after them for his own personal gain. And he is running our country after pretending to be one of the good guys. The problem is that not enough people saw him for who he really was and the guy got reelected.

Oh, and are you ever going to have thought that is your own? Are you ever going to present any facts, logic or reason in your comments to me? All I see from you is blind emotion that is fueled by the basic propaganda of the Conservatives.
