I had to double the > and <
or they wouldn't show up, I thought; anyway just use one: < and >
[ = < and ] = >

Posibly; I know nothing about MACs!
I usually just use html:
[a href=http://www.blogit.com]Blogit[/a]
excpet that instead of brackets, I use the << and >>

thanks. It seems like my webbrowser doesn't support the editing bar. I have a MAC. Maybe I should try downloading internet explorer. It might show it to me then.

There is a link icon, looks like a globe with a chain link on it, that you can use in the command portion of the post window.
