Hi Symph
I know it's tough when they have tantrums. Emily smacks herself on the head when she gets mad - then throws herself on the floor. If she is reasonably mad over something then I comfort her - if she is jsut being mad to be mad I let her go. She cries for a few minutes (and bangs her head on a lot of stuff) then she stops. Sometimes you just gotta let them go.
I know you are a good mom. This is just a phase and hopefully will pass soon.

that makes me feel better, I thought I was doing something wrong, I know they go through phases (I studied childcare) but that was in schools or nurseys.....completely different to actually having your own that you can't give back...LOL.....I will check out your blog....but now I have to pick my daughter up from school, its her last day of school she will be off for 6 weeks.......take care speak soon....and thank you

You're little toddler will do that !!! He is going through phases...going from a baby to a big kid...check out my Raising Happy Healthy Children blog...I know all about that stuff...and there will be much more to come !!! Remember, he is still very young and it is hard for little ones "be good" sometimes...kids will be kids...take a deep breath and know that they all do it...

If you're gonna hunt me down and kiss me,
then my errand of mercy was well worth the effort!
And I know, it's damn near impossible to hold your breath and drink water. But I swear it works.
The other one is the bartender's cure -- pour a few drops of bitters on a lemon slice and bite it. Sounds heinous, but bartenders all over the world swear by it, and it does work.

Children are always erratic, no?
Maybe that is just my kids! But I do remember two aaaugh.... You are sounding in better spirits though, which is great. We live near a naval base and a helicopter service for the big NYC executives. I am not sure which one (or both) it is, but they sound like they are going to land on our house sometimes! Not fun to wake up to either Luckily it is not often though...
Things are good here, but VERY HOT! It is nasty...makes me not want to move and very tired. I think I will move to the mountains one day...

Symphony have you heard the term 'terrible twos' your little boy is in them
I believe. This too will pass. I posted a poem some time ago about my grandson Samuel who was a sweet little boy until the terrible twos came upon him. LOL Really he is just trying new things. He will soon be over this. I believe little boys are worse than little girls at this.

I wanted to thank you for your email...
Things have been hectic and I realized how long it had been since you sent it....I meant to write back sooner. I have been watching what happened in London today...I hope things are not too scary there. It seems after the IRA stopped bombing there you would be free, now suicide bombers. I hope you and your family are safe. As far as being indecisive, sometimes the best thing to do is nothing and just let yourself focus elsewhere....then the answer you need will come. Good luck with your little boy, it takes great patience to be a mother... I wonder if I could ever do it. Take care, and again, do be safe.
