Way to Go, Canada!
And way to go for you, too, Gome.  I keep hoping America will come loping along on this issue and do what's right, but I'm not holding my breath.  If we're (Americans) going to make such a big deal about J. Jackson's boob (the ensuing furor of which still sets my head a-shakin), then it's hard to hold out any hope of "legalizing" gay marriages in the States.  Hope springs eternal, tho.  It's just the right thing to do.

Gome -

You Canadians always have been a bit more mature than us - except for the McKenzie brothers. And I agree that we'll eventually get there, though we've got a long way to go in some areas of the country.

Vane - right on - and it will come eventually to the USA

That is exactly what it is "...the most rational decision." We were asked to overcome inherent prejudices and to amend firmly entrenched societal traditions so that a small group in our society may have what already exists for everyone else.  Ultimately it comes down to what is the right and decent thing to do when considering the potential happiness of a small group of our country's citizens. To deny them the opportunity to pursue their own form of self fullfillment would be decidedly irrational.

The title is really funny. also, glad to hear the issue is finalized in Canada. I wish americans would finally get that its the most rational decision. I mean I guess some people don't understand the concept of all people being equal and having the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness
