twodog -- it's hardly off base, you are speaking of the originating source
for the impulse, instinct or thought while I am defining the means of transmission of that impulse. You do however bring up an intriguing idea. When we do accomplish self aware artificial intelligence we would in fact be considered the creators of this new conscious life form. I wonder if they will build a different house of denominational worship on every street corner to honour us and squabble about miniscule points of interpretation in regards of that worship for all eternity?

Nice theory, but, scientificly a little off base. First, the human machine, you know the body, is controled by the brain through electircal impulse. The electricity is created by a chemical reaction, true, but, like a computer, the human body, as well as all organic creatures right down to a single cell animal, is an electronic macnine controled by a computer (brain). Humanity has been trying to create a machine, a robot, with the same capabilities as the human, the Japanese are the best at it so far, most of my life time. I wonder, fifty or a hundred years in the future, what the self aware robot  will think about humanity, it's creator.
