I Agree...
...but, even having said this, I still believe that there are lessons we need to learn from various other countries--and, right here in our own country, we need to apply the wisdom of the Native Americans when it comes to conservation.
When the white people began to settle here, they would initially strip the landscapes bald without putting something back to grow again for future generations.
Otherwords, we would cut down all of the trees (one big example) and then simply move on to find more trees.
When we cut down a tree, we need to plant at least one in its place.
If we're cutting down trees to clear the land for a building, etc., we can still replace the trees we cut by participating in Arbor Day & Earth Day activities where tree-plantings take place.
Perhaps, it might not always be realistic to replace them tree-for-tree, but we can at least plant new trees whenever given the chance and/or make donations to foundations that do this kind of activity.
Or, the replacing might come in the form of not a tree for a tree but, instead, contributing towards the saving of members of an endangered species.
Anyway, it's something to think about...
Hugs!

Bush is right
It is a nice and encouraging thing to find people who are honest to acknowledge that Bush was not wrong in his claim about his country. Although the US is no paradise, for there is no such place on earth, but it is a land that offers more opportunities for people of all race and religion than any other land or country on the Globe. The US is one of the rare countries on the face of the earth where minorities are progressing. For example Alberto Gonzales is holding a position in the US that he would never have held in Mexico. If Alberto was still in Mexico, he would have been barnished to one of the corn plantations on the fringes of the society in that highly regimented country. The other beneficiaries are the blacks. Where the blacks have attained in the States are positions never to dream in Europe or precisely in France. The only exception in Europe where blacks can grow is in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
