RAME,
It was a blessing to read your post!  When you mention praying in the morning, I so needed to be reminded.  Thanks for this wonderful post.

Go Easy,
J. King

Ainsley,

Thanks for stopping in and thanks for your comments.  What you said makes sense.  If we are open to listening to God, He will guide us through our days in the best way possible.

What You've Written...

...has been proven to me over and over to this very day!!!

For instance, it had been brought to my attention that I would need an actual Social Security card (rather than simply rattling off my Social Security number) at certain times in my life (this being especially true in this age of terrorism and identity-theft).

I'd gotten a card way back when I was a teenager (either still in high school at the time or else freshly-graduated), but I'd gone through lots of purses and wallets since that time.

On top of that, I'd noticed that my license plate had expired in April.

Sure!  I'd paid for it but just hadn't gone to get it (in this case, a sticker to attach to my current plate that would show me to be legal until April of next year).

I wanted to take care of those matters before going on a road-trip of any size.

But I had other things come up to where I always seemed to be too late to tend to these things, thanks to their closing at the end of a work day.

But, when I finally went to apply for a new Social Security card last Friday, I met a lady I believe I'll be able to help--not to mention meeting another lady who had the most adorable baby.  It seemed as if I had arrived at the office at the right time!

Right up until Monday morning when I came to realize that there was no way that I was going to be leaving on my road-trip at any sort of decent hour, so I needed to put it off until today, I thought that I would be on the road by now.

But I wasn't--and it turned out to be a very good thing, because the weather was so very hot and sultry that my mom did a whole lot better with my being around to drive her right up to the building where she had a doctor's appointment instead of her having to park and walk for any great distance.

I'll be around early this morning to help her with a few things--and a cold-front will be coming down later to finally banish all of this hot, humid weather (for now, anyway--as the weatherman said, there's still August and all of its hot, humid potential).

In short...when I really get on the road, I'll feel as if the time to take off is really right, and I'll truly appreciate this trip!

God, Jesus, and Mary certainly understand a lot about life that we don't!

Blessings!
AJ
