kooka_lives -- the really shocking thing about haunted houses is that for
the most part and in most cases they are so easily explained. An inexplicable (and sometimes not so inexplicable) elevated level of ambient or natural electro-magnetic energy is present which has measurable effects on the human brain. This is almost always a constant, true in the majority of haunting cases. The disruption of the naturally balanced electrical field found in brain tissue is the cause. Now of course because so many people want to buy into this nonsense of ghosts and otherworldly beings, they will argue that the ghosts themselves cause this natural phenomena except this line of reasoning has one major flaw. The parameters can be easily reproduced in a laboratory, as a matter of fact Laurentian University right here in Canada has had an ongoing study involving a headgear with electrodes that artificially stimulates the human brain with low levels of elector-magnetic energy. The human brain reacts consistantly in a predictable manner in that it causes a feeling of heightened anxiety and anticipation. In many cases hallucinatory signatures are present, then it becomes even more predictable and downright comical. All hallucinations or manifestations are derived from the subjects own thoughts or beliefs, quite often visions of religious icons manifest themselves. But the Moslems see Allah and the Catholics see the Virgin Mary etc. etc. Not once has an adherant of one faith seen the religious icon of another faith in the nearly 12 years that this study has been ongoing. The administrators of the study theorize that so many people experience a religious manifestation because of the pleasant and comfortable surroundings of the laboratory further concluding that if the surroundings were not so serene the manifestations would be more malevolent in nature. When are people going to wise up? You are correct in saying that ghosts, demons nor spirits for that matter ever appear to the skeptic. It is such a scam that there are people selling a little electronic meter that measures electro magnetic energy as a "ghost meter".  I see television specials and hear stories about these things and I have to check the calender. It does say the year 2005 .....does it not?

Interesting...
I have a healthy respect for all the powers of this world.  And I don't mean the ones with badges who ride around in cruisers.  "Greater is He that is within me than He that is in the world." (I John 4:4b)  Just another weak mind-Raine
