I liked holding the "I" through a long riff of...
changing roles like a jazz musician holding a note. "Wondering if there was a top to the sky" was certainly a sparkling line.

This reminds me of Meryl Streep (spelling) in a scene from "Bridges of Madison County." Just like it..loved that scene !!! Good post sweet tea~~

A moment beautifully captured...I know the feeling precisely as you describe it. I have to say, though,  I resent your obnoxious joggers comment...at this time of the morning, we're not obnoxious so much as flat out annoying....lol....nice post!

Thank you so very much....I think you surely know how much that means to me coming from you, because of how much I admire and enjoy your work.  I like that you got the feel of it...I never mind sharing myself in my writing and it is nice to know it came through.

Thank you so much....that's a wonderful way to put it, seeing my "reflection" - very true. I'm not really a morning person because I'm a night person but I do love the morning...used not to be a problem when I didn't need much sleep! Now that I have insomnia I just stay up, enjoy the early morning and then go to bed! Lucky thing I'm retired!!!

Consider me a fan

That was really lovely.  How wonderful to peak through this newly discovered window of joy and marvel, my nerdy computer monitor, to see your lake and those leaves... you as a young woman... the still moments of morning when sensation and reaction are blissfully coupled...

Enchanting post.  Thanks.

Wonderful, my dear!
Don't forget; I'm coming down there to lock in the lakehouse and make you write a book!

That was very, very nicely done.  That's writing.  It's like a summation, referring to just the right highlights in your life and personal sensory views to leave us with feel for what's it's like to be you.  It's prose, but it's got a poetic feel.  I like it

This was really great--that time of the day can be so wonderful for seeing our own "reflection"--lovely post!
