Cynthia, thank you. I have a notion to write something about this, something beyond Blogit

Cynthia, these matters such as the bright mornings we step out oblivious to what is ahead are so random. I stepped out and got into a cab and went to the airport and flew out of London on July 6. I had been taking tubes there for weeks. What strikes me is that the London in my memory is just over two weeks old but was made historic the very next day. Already I am out of touch.

Majroj, I was just joshing you,
I'm not really a Mac fanatic, just what gets the job done is good enough for me.

Littlempickles, I remember
you from early on in this venture too. I started when it was the blogging network in 2003.

Allicat, it's all in the planning
I hate being caught off guard.

no, not a good start to the day
but it sounds like everything else was ok after that - including beating the computer!

And just for a bit of trivia - I've been doing a walk through a blogging memory lane and thought I'd let you know you were on my first reading distribution list back in Feb 2004!

You are like a Girl Scout or something!
I have never heard of anyone being that prepared for something as random as falling and being late for an intwerview.

Being sprawled out
next to a dumpster. I bet you were glad nobody spotted you, huh?? *grin*

Oh ouch. (wincing in sympathy here) I had that happen in march, when I was viciously attacked by a lurking pothole. Hope you heal up soon. And yeah, it does give a very jarring feel to the day.

MayB, I actually love my
G5 Mac. It was the first time I ever had trouble with it - but it was the DVD's fault, not the Mac's. As a fellow Mac user I salute you!

fw, how did you "just know" that?
did my politics clue you in???

Majroj, guess there's not
a lot of choices, sometimes your philosophical position surprises me...

mmm-w, it feels good when
a new reader finds you. Thanks for the encouragement.

It's true that the wheels have fallen off some days before we even know it. When it becomes apparent that it is that kind of day I just try to laugh and go with the flow. This comment was typed on a G5

This just reaffirms my basic belief ...
restarting a computer will solve most, if not all, of its ills. I just knew you used macs.

Never lose the pleasure in today's victories.

Life is like one big "Code Blue"; you know you aren't going to ultimately win, so you give it all you've got, playing for points...and sometimes, for a while, it works despite all odds.

Tadaaa...there, the "Human Condition", a'la "E.R.".
