She had a knee-jerk reaction, that she acted on...I'm glad you told him he was lovable despite screwing up...we all make mistakes, and I believe forgiveness is an absolute essential...though at times it is easy to say, hard to do.

pain of unforgiveness
| I think I can relate a little to the pain that your friend has been going through. I, too, was like Terry's wife, Karen, who "piled up the offenses" and couldn't forgive. I kept all my pain inside until I exploded one day and couldn't take any more. Of course, it's hard to be in a "godless" relationship with someone when you're struggling to hang on to God yourself. But, looking back, I really needed to set a better example and become the stronger one (faithwise). I now am remarried, unfortunately too soon and realized too late I needed to learn to accept more imperfection, forgive and find the fun in life every day. My husband now is very kind and patient, which I'm learning a lot from. I'm starting to see my blessings rather than acknowledging all that's "missing" in my life.
