a couple of years ago, i was really stressed and when i'd try to meditate, my thoughts would race. i discovered a technique that really works. say your meditation out loud. speak it, over and over, slowly and deliberately. i used to say something like, 'I am silence; I am peace.' after about ten minutes, i could feel myself lifting up and then i could be still.

Avant -
From the wilds of North Dakota (and a borrowed PC), I wanted to let you know that I enjoyed this piece. It fits well with the stillness I am enjoying while on vacation. In the stillness and quiet I hear everything.

I really like this post...In listening, I also think we grow compassionate
not only for others, but also toward God.
