Hi, Cricket,
Like you, I'm new to blogit : one of the new kids on the blog, so to speak.
Have you had any work published? I assume you live in America, and I don't know what the situation is over there re. new authors getting their work published. Pretty hard, I guess.
It's the same in the UK, and in Spain, where I live now, but what I have found is that free magazines will often accept work from new authors : so far I've had about 50 short stories, lots of poetry and articles published bot in the UK and in Spain.
So why not have a look at free mags as a way of getting your work known?
Good luck with your writing! The only way to fail is to give up!
