Spiffie,
I'm glad you maintain the consistancy of training at the table. I took Behavioral Psych, and I know it is an absolute necessity, but I'm a Big Woos when it comes to gator mouth smiles and wagging butts. They learn daddy's a wimp quickly.

See how you are Passion??
Evil. Pure evil. Well, if she hits Tampa, that'll be one less place you get to stay cause my house won't be there! Ha ha!

Still laughing at that comment you left in my blog--
"Is the Universe Trying to Tell You Something?" Here's the comment I left you:
Spitfire...Emily was just upgraded to a tropical storm And should reach hurricane status within a few days. The Good News: Woo-Hoo! I'm gonna be rich! The Bad News: Oh Darn! There goes your house!

avant,
I hope she's right, too! Lindsey is pretty smart as far as I can tell, but wild as ever! She's either 1,000 mph or 0. There's really no middle, it seems!

JJ,
I hate those rising leap kisses!! I'm trying to break Lindsey from doing that. She leaps and nips. I hate that. But as far as the eating thing, my dogs know better than to beg. I don't ever feed them from the table. That's a no no!

blackcat,
I don't think you were around yet but I went through hell last October when I lost my 9 year old German Shepherd/Rott mix, Brittany to cancer. Sorry about your doggie. Yeah, I wish they lived longer, too. My Stonci is already 7 1/2.

Spiffie,
A funny scene, but I can't laugh. I have a sore nose and upper lip from a rising leap kiss. It was all a misjudgement, so I could only say ''awww sweetie--I wuv you too,'' and go wash my face in cold water.
I somehow get a vision of Big Ear Lin watching every bite of your dinner progressing from plate to mouth. That's a good thing. You never know when something is going to fly off of your spoon for her to grab quickly, gallantly rescuing your floor from a mess.

I just wish they had a longer life span. We lost our Rottie at just about 8 yrs old. Still... I would get another one in a second, if I had the time or room!

I have one pet, she is seventeen and wants our total attention. I just had
to face it. She is never going to grow up, get married and go away from home. Oh well! I wouldn't have it any other way. But I don't know what I would do with a couple of big dogs. They sound like fun but at my age I believe a five pound pet is ample. Sounds like fun. Sorry I haven't been by in a while. Not reading much. Not posting a lot either. You are so good at being constant with your posts. Have a great day!

Rach,
It's actually funny you mention that cause sometimes I DO think of that! Especially after losing the pony-dog. She was only 9. I do try to cherish all of this right now, but damn, when she pees on the floor and Stonci slips in it, I can't help but get pissed off!! Arrrgghh! I still love her, though. She's a good girl for the most part.

I can totally imagine! Stonci is a big mushy dawg. She's definitely a comedian! I've never had a dog that made me laugh so much.

Sass,
Anyone coming to our doorstep would probably wonder what the hell was goin on! All I seem to say the most lately is "Lindsey, NO!" "Lindsey, Leave it!" I'm sure she thinks her name is Lindsey No, for sure.

Just keep imagining her as an old lady dog--that's what got me through with Bridget! And now, when she starts thinking she is old (it's a state of mind, ya know?!) and gets lazy and moves slow I long for those puppy days!!

btw... I love rottweilers! We had one once... she was the best, most lovable, big baby of a 100+ pound dog that you can imagine.

Sounds like good old family fun night
Can you imagine someone knocking on your door and hearing the commotion coming from inside? They would figure on a boxing match or a very wild party.

Oh life with dogs who rule the roost! I sort of know that feeling, though Montana has always been a mellow old man, even when I first adopted him 6 1/2 years ago. (But they both look like sweet angels in the pics I posted of them yesterday!) I still have my moments with alien freak dog Charlie.
