we need to have pictures -- showing that there are "accidental icons" of other figures, such as Mohammed (Mohammedanism, though doesn't allow pictorial representation so we might not have any there) or Buddha -- that should be easy, especially in a bowl of ice cream (although I suspect the actual Buddha never got so rotund as the representations -- he seemed to me to be pretty much of an ascete)
then there are the Greek and Roman gods, of whom we have a plethora of representations -- Jupiter, Mercury, Minerva.
Well, I did see a Martian in the water stain on my bedroom ceiling once.

I've wondered the same as Arch. Why is it that only Christian saints, holy leaders, etc. are only seen. Does this happen in Iran (of course, it would be Mohammed that is seen) and we just don't here about it? And does Buddha show up in a scoop of ice cream in Japan? I'll ponder that a bit and might tackle it as a post once I'm back from vacation.
