well, i don't have to wonder why he doesn't respond. neither he or empty handed painter have ever responded to me, either. i read a comment pappy put on one of kooka's posts. wow. but, like me, he heard nary a peep. again, great rebuttal to his post.

Avant-garde,
There's a really core truth: that to seek something in others, parents, lovers, and friends, that can only be found through God within ourselves is to create our own suffering. Like you said, giving up the illusion of saving ourselves by our own actions, that's a tough one, but so liberating. Good post.
I'm glad you liked my response to Kooka's blog. I still haven't heard anything back. I wonder why?

yes, when i become nothing it is a very full, complete feeling. i believe that is the true nature of our souls.

"Seeing myself as nothing, I can witness God in everything." I think you have to see the evreything you are starting with the God in you

As Always
You expand my view of the world a little and make me think! I think I am most vulnerable to the images of what I want other people to be like" and constantly comparing what I see in their actions to my way they "ought to be." It is easy to be disappointed in people that way.
