I'm so glad you appreciate--add these withVan and you are building a golden collection; I had such a hard time and will be adding more...I really did live in the golden age and there's an embarrassment of riches to choose from - but I'm gonna keep on tryin!! Thanks for visitin'!

Since the doc put me on the dang testosterone cream....neither can I!! That's one side effect nobody told me about and it really pisses me off....I had a really nice soprano voice!!! I mean, I don't sound like a guy or anything now....more like I smoke a lot or something....well, I might still be able to help Plant out!!

And that is one of the reasons for my nomination..........You're right, you can't dance to Stairway.......it is a song that remains (the same? haha) as one of the all time classics. They were a band that was versatile and unique. Just when everyone thought they had them figured out.....they changed! And people ate up whatever they played. They were a combination of nearly all that music offered.

What gains my respect is that they did not replace Jon Bonham when he died and continue to tour.........they knew that it was over, the song would never remain the same.

This is gonna sound crazy....okay, it is crazy....but I kinda don't put them in the same category.  Well, in the first place, it's insane for me to try to name a favorite of anything...even ice cream, colors, etc.....so in music (see rolling eyes, hands in the air, etc.)...but, that said....you have your hard rock, acid rock, heavy metal, etc, etc., etc.....well, CCR has more of the rock and roll with just pure unadulterated emphasis on the "and roll" part of the title....whereas I would agree with you if I just think, ROCK!....that's LZ....that probably made no sense whatsoever....but, like....I cannot really dance to Stairway to Heaven and "rock and roll" is, foremost, in my mind a danceable genre.....

John is a genius!! And CCR does rock.........my nominations would have to go to the greatest Rock band of all time.......Led Zeppelin!!
