Go to Religion is a ShamAdd a commentGo to It Takes a Dunce to Believe . . .

All you people?
Well, I can't speak for all the people to whom you refer, but I can answer for myself. Religion and religious beliefs (NOT to be confused with spirituality, which requires no church) have led to more wars, family disagreements, educational decay, disrespect for others beliefs, formulation of idiotic ideas, development of moronic rituals, theft of Billions of dollars (and yen, and lire, and Euros, and pesos, etc.), and, most importantly, stunted the emotional and mental growth of most of mankind.

In fact, this is going to be the basic text of my next post to this blog. Thanks for asking the question, frankk.

The need for the sacred is basic to humans. It's been greatly abused but it's
still real.. What's really interesting to me is why all you people who write
about religion, both pro and con, are so emotionally vehement about it.
